Devotional Reminder: Why Jesus Was Born
As winter sets
in and the year draws to a close, the arrival of the holiday season
brings a time of business. One of the busiest time of the year centers
on Christmas. The nonstop hustle of last minute shopping, planned
Christmas trips overseas and visiting family members is clearly
an evident sign of this. Surprisingly, through all this chaotic
traffic of activities, some remember after a year's absence to attend
their church's Christmas service.
It's important to remember the reason for the season. Christmas
is in celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Why was Jesus born
into this world for?
The Scripture says:
"She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the
name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
(Matthew 1:21)
Through the busy schedules of life, whether its Christmas or not,
may we all be challenged to be reminded that Jesus came down humbly
to this earth to SAVE SINNERS from the fate of eternal separation.
PRAYER:
"Father,
Thank you for sending your son Jesus to die on the cross for man's
sin. His birth was the greatest gift that I could ever receive.
Through Christ, being on the cross for our sins, I am able to know
you God.
In Jesus name I pray,
AMEN"
